Best of Show

Here is Emma with her aquarium she made and her Best of Show ribbon! She is quite proud of it, though it is somewhat of a sore spot for Robbie…

Today after summer reading at the library, we cleaned our rooms, helped Mom clean house, and then we got to go swimming for the second day in a row. I mostly played football with one of the boys from my baseball team. Katie floated around in her ring and spun circles. Emma practiced her swimming. Abby floated around in her ring and watched all the people. We had a good time. Here is a picture of Emma and Abby.

My Last Game

Tonight was my last baseball game of the season. We played four innings and our team won 32 – 21! I got on base 3 out of 4 at bats and on my third at bat I hit a home run! I caught the entire game and even got a compliment on one of my plays by the other teams coach. Our team was a lot more on the ball tonight.  Gannon, our first baseman and cleanup hitter, got a ball from the coach for being the Most Valuable Player. Overall, I had a good time and was glad that we were able to win. Go Tornadoes!

Here a couple pictures Mom took tonight.

Fancy Flip Flops

Here are some pictures of the flip flops Emma, Katie, and Mom made. I had no interest in putting flowers on my flip flops!

Playing Baseball

So far this season I am enjoying coach pitch. My team’s name is the Tornadoes. My friend Jack is on another team that doesn’t have a name. He said that they should call themselves the “Storm Stoppers” because they were going to beat our team. We ended up winning when we played them so I guess that wouldn’t have been a good name. So far, I have gotten to be catcher during all but about three batters this season. I am enjoying playing this position and am slowly getting better at blocking and catching. I have also managed to get on base almost every at bat. We have only lost two of our games this season with only one to go. While I have enjoyed catching I told Mom after our last game (which we lost) that I was going to have to play outfield the next game. Mom must not have been paying attention to the game because she asked why? Did the coach tell me I needed to move? My response was that no he had not, hadn’t she seen the game? I needed to play outfield because they were missing the balls that came to them and we lost the game! Mom said I needed to stick with being catcher and that she thought we’d do better next time.  I sure hope so as I’d like to win our last game. Go Tornadoes!

Play-doh Creations

Emma and I played with Play-doh the other day. First, we made cookies. Second, we made hot dogs. Then we played a bit with the Play-doh. After a while we decided to get really fancy and Emma wanted to try to build a Play-doh castle, and then I said let’s build a Play-doh robot. Emma said “lets a build a castle first” and I replied ” no, lets build a robot first”. We finally agreed to build a robot first, so we put our Play-doh together and built a robot. The robot was kind of fat the first time. Here is a picture of the first robot.

After playing with the robot for a while we broke it. Then I thought we wouldn’t have enough Play-doh to build a Play-doh castle. But it turned out that we had a lot left after building a small Play-doh castle. After that Emma made a garden with lots of flowers and showed Mom and she liked it. I broke it since Mom had already seen it then we built another robot. It was even skinnier than the first one and was very tall. It was so tall it couldn’t stand up by itself. Here I am trying to hold him up.

Because he couldn’t stand up I made a chair for him. Emma decided to go back to making hot dogs. Here she is cutting up her hot dog.

As you can tell we had a really good time. I can’t wait until the next time we play Play-doh. I think I’ll try to build the skinny robot again so I can get a picture of him standing.
